Happy two months to our favorite little boy 🙂 I am so in love with him!!
Here’s a little recap of his progress so far:
Mitchell can burp, fart, and snort with the best of them. Sometimes I cannot believe the noises that come out of that cute little body of his! He is ALL boy.
He eats like a horse! For a couple of days he was slowing down, and I thought maybe he had a growth spurt and was turning into a normal-eating baby. But two days later, my little pig was back. He’s eating anywhere from 5-7 ounces every 2.5 – 3 hours. Goodbye small bottles, hello big boy bottles! I don’t know where it all goes! Oh wait, yes I do, all those dirty diapers he so graciously fills for me every day 😉 He sleep great at night, but wakes up every three hours for a bottle. It’s feed him, change him, right back to sleep. While I am able to catch Steve in Afghanistan on the computer a lot more when I’m up at all hours of the night, I can’t wait for this to spread out a little so I can get some more sleep!! But I guess when you’re hungry, you gotta eat 🙂
Still sounds like a baby goat when he cries. So. Cute.
His hair is now growing in (still red!) on the top of his head. It balances out the mullet he has growing in the back… That is going to be trimmed in the very near future – but for now, it’s all business in the front and party in the back 😉
This month we grew out of newborn diapers and are into Size 1’s. He is wearing all 0-3 clothes now – most of them fit him but some are still pretty big.
He has survived two 18 hour car rides!
He can hold his head up pretty well now. And he is looking around and following voices or people he sees in the room. Also, he smiles when he knows I’m talking to him, which is very exciting considering I used to have to count on him passing gas to get a little grin 🙂
We have our two-month appointment scheduled in a few days, and I can’t wait to see what he weighs! For being in the 30th percentile when he was born, I don’t think he’s going to stay there for long. He’s got the baby belly going that swells up after he eats, but the leg rolls are still minimal! And I know he is getting taller, so we’ll see if he’s still in the 90th percentile for height! Tall and skinny just like his daddy 🙂
Still has those beautiful baby blue eyes ❤
Next week is his first airplane trip! And this month he’ll be starting day care full time! Ahhhh! When did that happen?! Happy two months Mitchell 🙂
